Microsoft Dynamics Senior Project Manager
Project and Client Management Responsibilities- Act as lead project manager on Microsoft team. Ensure all active projects are being managed properly by assigned team members. Act as Project Lead on large, at risk or high profile client engagements.
- Ensure all projects are scoped properly and that project goals are accomplished according to discovery and client business objectives. Enforce standards and processes to ensure consulting engagements exceed client expectations.
- Serve as primary project escalation point for issues; resolve conflicts involving scheduling, resources, or technical project issues.
- For large projects, conducts project closeout with client to end engagement and obtain agreement of completed deliverable.
- Maintain relationships with key Microsoft clients.
- Manage consultant tasks and workload on client engagements
- Utilize project management skills of communication, presentation, time management, risk management, cost control/budget management, organization and planning to successfully implement company's products.
- Identify hiring needs and spearhead staff training and development. Assist with recruiting and hiring new employees.
- Mentor new and existing team members in consulting best practices and project application knowledge and skills. Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced consultants. Motivate and inspire team members and ensure that team members have the resources to be successful.
- Perform review for all team members twice a year. Prepare written goals for each team member quarterly.
- Take a lead role in scheduling of all Microsoft team resources. Work with other project managers to address scheduling conflicts. Ensure team members meet utilization targets and communicate backlog and staffing needs/ or issues to management.
- Ensure team members follow appropriate time and expense reporting, forecasting, backlog, and project closure policies and procedures.
- Conduct recurring bi-monthly team meetings to review current projects and pipeline.
- Support sales team with pre-sales support as needed.
- Prepare or review all Microsoft project proposals.
- Review time and billing twice a month.
- Stay current on new product releases and drive consultant efforts to train on new product line and services initiatives.
- 7+ years ERP implementation experience with at least 4 years as PM.
- Prefer at least 2 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Must be confident, upbeat, likeable and enthusiastic, learn and use technology, love challenges, self-reliant, knows how to set customer's expectations, deal with difficult customers.
Technology Consultant
Job Duties- Basic understanding of computer networking technologies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or)
Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with 4 – 5 years of software development experience - Ability to collaborate as an effective member of a high performing team
- Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines and manage multiple projects and tasks
- ERP systems experience (Microsoft Dynamics GP, NAV, and Epicor) a plus
- Ability to adapt to new technology with a desire to continue growing technical knowledge
- Ability to work independently, as a member of a team, and under supervision of the Chief Technologist
- 1 – 3 years experience as a .Net Developer (Java and C++ is also acceptable)
- Comprehensive understanding of developing with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
- Familiar with Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio
- Experience with object oriented design and programming skills
- Experience with VB and/or VBA
- Experience with XML (Preferred)
- Experience developing and maintaining .Net web applications (Preferred)
- Experience developing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server Stored Procedures, Tables, Views, etc. (Preferred)
