Wilt. The transaction also provides the Axis management team ownership in the company. Axis Accounting Systems is a full service consulting firm specializing in the selection, implementation and support of financial accounting systems. In addition to offering packages from the top three mid-market accounting software vendors, including Microsoft Great Plains, Epicor Software Corporation and Sage Software, Axis provides a wide range of technology and integration consulting.
KraftCPAs Chief Manager Vic Alexander says the addition of Axis to the Kraft family of affiliated companies makes perfect sense for the CPA firm and its clients. “The Axis product lines and services are a good fit for Kraft clients. In fact, we have referred clients to Axis for several years and been pleased with the service they’ve received from Dallas and her team. The Axis products and services also compliment the services offered through Kraft Technology Group, which provides technology needs analysis, planning and budgeting, installation of local and wide-area networks, remote access solutions, and security consulting, assessment and testing.”
Dallas, age 37, says the sale was part of a well-planned business strategy. “All entrepreneurs should have an exit strategy in mind when they start a business, and I knew that one day I would sell.”
She explains that other potential buyers approached her over the past several years, but she waited on the right deal. “Kraft only wanted part of the company, not 100% ownership, which allowed me to include the management team in the deal. That was one of my priorities – to see my team rewarded for their hard work and loyalty. Equally important is the Kraft culture. I know they care about their employees and they will take care of my team. No deal would have been worth it if I weren’t comfortable with the partner. I’m totally confident that Kraft is the best partner for me and for Axis.”
Axis is a two-time recipient of the Music City Future 50 Award and has been recognized by the Nashville Business Journal as a finalist for Small Business of the Year.
The company currently has 11 team members and will remain in their current offices at 3310 West End Avenue.
